“Twisted Shoulder” Tattoo Tank Top

Submitted by Off the Cuff Style

This fun and funky top was made for my niece Bella, age 8.
Sadly, she has out-grown ruffles…sigh…

I started by using one of the iron-on transfers from the book “Tattoo Tees” (see post below for book details).
After the “Tattoo” was set, I cut out Ottobre Design Pattern #13, from the 04/07 issue. [...]

A Top…with a “Tattoo”

Submitted by Off the Cuff Style
This top for my niece Willow was such fun to make!

Inspired by a post on Stacy’s Blog quite a long time ago, I purchased the book “Tattoo Tees”. It is a Leisure Arts book, IBSN- 978-1-60140-766-5

The book has several transfers, meant to resemble “tattoos”. What I really like about these [...]

A Classic Summer Shirt…of Light Textured Silk

Submitted by Off the Cuff Style

I recently designed this Classic Summer Sport Shirt
for one of my favorite clients.
Made from the lightweight textured silk shirting pictured to the left, it features a pocket and sleeves accented with piping.
To give this 1950’s inspired shirt a modern look, it also features a straight-edge collar stand and an angled [...]

Indented Shirt Cuff…a Detail of Functional Style

Submitted by Off the Cuff Style

This indented cuff, from a collection by the French designer Alain Gossuin is a handsome design detail, but is also quite functional.
As you can see, it facilitates movement of the hand…brilliant!

I’ve been busy writing an article about shirt-making for a magazine (that needs to remain nameless for the time being).
I’ll be back soon with more projects to share. In the meantime….I may not be leaving many comments on blogs and other forums, but please know [...]

Bionda Castana new shoe gods

Submitted by Brittique Blog

Grazia have named the design duo behind Bionda Castana the new shoe gods. Not only do Bionda Castana shoes look amazing but they’re actually walkable. Good news if you’re a size 40 because that’s the last pair we have left of the Amber shown here.

A ball gown fit for a bump

Submitted by Brittique Blog

Normally an invite to a swanky black tie masquerade ball would be so exciting that I’d barely be able to sleep. But being so heavily pregnant I was dreading it. What to wear with such a big bump? And black tie means to the ground. The lovely Louise Amstrup offered me a [...]

Airing My Dirty Laundry…a Quick Tip

Submitted by Off the Cuff Style

Do you ever get mysterious marks on your clothes? Or do you ever have a fabric marking pen or pencil that won’t wash out?
I used to use hairspray as a last resort when everything including OxyClean just wouldn’t remove make-up stains from my clothes, pen marks on Roger’s clothes, or [...]
